Špela LEDINEK LOZEJ, Assistant



 

Špela Ledinek Lozej was born on 25 July 1972 in Ljubljana. In 1999 she graduated from the Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology and the Department of Art History at Ljubljana's Faculty of Arts. In 2000 she started working as a research assistant at the SRC SASA Institute of Slovenian Ethnology, where she studies architecture and domestic lifestyle. Since 2004 she has been working at the Nova Gorica Research Point. As part of her graduate studies in Slovenian ethnology at the Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at the Faculty of Arts she is preparing a doctoral dissertation titled Bivalna kultura v Vipavski dolini (Domestic Lifestyle in the Vipava Valley).


Research interests: domestic lifestyle, architecture, mountain pastures and livestock grazing in the Julian Alps, trade between the Istrian countryside and towns.
